A CSS Peeper alternative for paste-ready exports

CSS Peeper is a long-running inspector for designers: click an element to read its styles, browse the colors and images on a page, export assets. Stylasso does a different job. It reads the whole page as a design system and hands it to you as code you can paste: CSS variables, a Tailwind v4 theme, a DESIGN.md for AI coding tools, or a shadcn/ui theme.

Side by side

CSS Peeper details are from csspeeper.com/pricing as of 8 November 2026; check there for current plans.

When to use which

If you inspect elements one at a time, grab images from pages, or want contrast scanning while you browse, CSS Peeper (or the browser's own DevTools) fits that well. If what you need is the system behind a site, ready to drop into a Tailwind project, a shadcn/ui app or a prompt for Cursor or Claude Code, Stylasso is built for that, and its code exports are free.

How Stylasso works

  1. Open a site and click the Stylasso icon. It reads only that tab, only after the click.
  2. Check the palette with roles, the fonts, the type scale, spacing, radii and shadows.
  3. Copy it as CSS variables, a Tailwind v4 theme, a DESIGN.md or JSON, or save a moodboard PNG.

Try it on three sample sites on the home page without installing anything.
